
Bandipora, October 19: In a heartwarming gesture of respect and solidarity, the President of the International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) J&K, Altaf Bhat, celebrated Deepawali with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the Frontier BSF Camp in Bandipora.
Altaf Bhat marked the occasion by presenting sweets to BSF officers and jawans, expressing gratitude for their service and sacrifice. The event was graced by Brigadier R.N. Babu, DIG BSF, Commanding Officer of the 62 Battalion, SP Anand, and several other senior officers.
The celebration coincided with the traditional Bada Khana organized at the camp, where officers and soldiers came together to share festive greetings and moments of camaraderie.
Speaking on the occasion, Altaf Bhat extended his Deepawali greetings to all BSF personnel and commended their unwavering commitment to protecting the nation’s borders, especially under demanding conditions.
The event concluded on a positive note with the exchange of warm wishes, reflecting unity, harmony, and mutual respect between civilians and the security forces.
